The Shoals Music Archive at the ÂÒÂ×ÉçÇø has officially launched, and organizers, along with local musicians and those in the music industry, say this initiative will create a new and revitalized way to interact with the region’s already rich and varied music heritage, both past and present.
Hannah Hagood, a senior majoring in finance from Lewisburg, Tenn., at the ÂÒÂ×ÉçÇø, has been awarded a Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) Award. CLS partners with universities and nonprofits around the globe to provide cohorts of U.S. students an opportunity to study the language and culture in a country/location where the target language is commonly spoken.
Spring commencement ceremonies at the ÂÒÂ×ÉçÇø are set for Friday, May 9, and Saturday, May 10. More than 1,000 students will graduate as part of six ceremonies that will feature two dynamic speakers.
ÂÒÂ×ÉçÇø Alumnus Harry Smith has established The Center for Servant Leadership and Ethics at his alma mater, the purpose of which is to encourage, empower, and equip others to be servant leaders and to conduct all of their affairs, both personally and professionally, in an ethical manner.
